Who is behind this
I'm Christa Moore. I have lived in Northern Kentucky for more than thirty years, and my husband and I own the Rita's Italian Ice and Frozen Custard in Florence.
So I have seen this problem from both sides.
As somebody who lives here, I would go looking for something simple, like who was playing live music on Friday night, and end up with eight tabs open. A Facebook event. A TikTok. An Instagram post from somebody I follow. A band page nobody had updated. A venue site with a different lineup. Half the time I gave up and stayed home. Same thing when I tried to plan a holiday shopping day. Which shops are actually local, which pop-ups are happening that weekend, where to stop for lunch in between. That is not a search. That is a research project.
As somebody who owns a business here, I saw the other half of it. You can run a good little shop and have no real way to be found by the people who would love it. No website, or a website nobody visits. An event three blocks away that would have filled your store, and you never heard about it. A creator with a local following who would happily talk about you, if the two of you ever crossed paths.
None of it was connected to any of the rest of it. So I started building something that would be.
What this is
All of Here is a guide to Northern Kentucky: Boone, Kenton, Campbell, Grant and Owen counties. Events, local places, and guides to the things people actually ask about. Where kids eat free and on what night. Which Oktoberfest to take your parents to. Where to find a pumpkin patch in October.
It is also a place for a local business to have a real presence. Your hours, your photos, your specials, your events, and a link you can send to somebody. If you do not have a website, this can be one.
How we handle information
Local information changes fast, and most local sites never tell you when they last looked.
When an editor has confirmed something, the page shows the date. When we have not confirmed it recently, we say so instead of guessing.
That is the whole standard. We would rather be honest about what we know than look more complete than we are.

Events and places with enough detail to make a decision: hours, days, prices, who qualifies.
Businesses, makers, performers and venues working in these five counties.
Guides that answer a real question instead of listing everything.
Where we are starting
Boone, Kenton, Campbell, Grant and Owen. Coverage is thicker close to the river and thinner out toward Grant and Owen. We would rather tell you that than pretend otherwise, and it will fill in.
We include a few things across the river, because people here drive over for them. Those are labeled, so you can skip them if you would rather stay on this side.
